Merry Christmas Pr. Joseph Chalier! He was head of the infectious disease unit @CHUdeLyon and was professor of medicine @UnivLyon1 during the 1920-1942 period. Today, the unit located on the first floor of our brand new building dedicated to infectious diseases bears his name!

This week @CHUdeLyon we treated for the first time in an ICU a patient with severe relapsing pandrug resistant P. aeruginosa ventilator-associated pneumonia with sepsis ➡️ A bacteriophage cocktail provided by #pherecydes was used under the supervision of @ansm ➡️ Hope that helps!

War is a strong inducer of complex bone and joint infections. I am proud to belong to the fantastic @CHUdeLyon team that performed several missions in 🇦🇲 since nov 2020. Today in Erevan, the feedback of this effort will help to develop several long term collaborations!

Happy to participate to this book on the story of infectious diseases in Lyon (in French). A chapter mentioned the Lyon bacteriological institute, were #phages were produced to treat patients @CHUdeLyon. The building of this institute was destroyed during a bombing in May 1944!
