I agree with subsequent posts in this thread, but I think it’s a mistake to dismiss ALL safety concerns because of the problematic nature of the AI Safety™️ community. The misalignment reports, red-teaming reports, and COT transcripts make very clear that this technology presents significant dangers.
The core problem with the “AI Safety” framing is that it takes for granted that Silicon Valley is about to create Computer God. Which is cultish nonsense.
