#CPUSA's
never ask a man his salary, a woman her age, or what cpusa’s position on nazi germany was prior to barbarossa
this article conspicuously does a really fun little thing and it is claim that CPUSA was an authentically anti-imperialist force as if that means something when you are in fact the sockpuppet arm of the rival imperial power
“Suggesting that we can have a socialist politics that ignores the wreckage America unleashes abroad and its refractions at home—from a fraying social safety net to a militarization of daily life—is not only immoral, but naive and misguided.”

One of the most consistent themes as I read 50-11 books on McCarthyism was the way CPUSA's advocacy for racial integration put an extreme target on their backs
Wait, y’all are aware that the Communist Party was one of the earliest and most vocal opponents of Jim Crow, right?

He looks like the CPUSA’s coke dealer
Why is he dressed like he’s opening a nightclub in fort lauderdale circa 1977?

I think about CPUSA's gigantic Lincoln portrait so much lol, that party had so many problems but on that front they 100000% had the right idea

the thing is that they usually don't idolize the 1930s CPUSA, which is interesting. they idolize the post-1939 CPUSA, after the M-R pact crushed their independence, and then project the USSR-dominated Comintern back on the 1930s CPUSA and the 1930s CPUSA's successes forward onto its failures.
It's bonkers to me how many people who idolized 1930s CPUSA like 6 years ago now need the propaganda value of American symbolism and iconography explained to them

at least now the Browder family has switched sides! (Bill Browder is the grandson of Earl Browder, the CPUSA's WWII-era leader)

I am sure that this is entirely unrelated to the CPUSA's real estate holdings

Howard Zinn quotes CPUSA's mockery of WW2 as imperialist, and intends it to be laudatory to CPUSA, before launching a tirade of half-truths about how black people didn't buy into the war (they absolutely did).

CPUSA’s Jewish Committee strongly denounces the Anti-Defamation League’s (ADL) defense of Elon Musk’s Nazi salute.

We call on all people who defend justice to persistently resist fascist politics, legislation, and culture.
The ADL’s defense of Musk’s Nazi salute reveals its true colors
The CPUSA’s Jewish Committee strongly denounces the Anti-Defamation League’s (ADL) defense of Elon Musk’s Nazi salute. Musk’s history of Nazi admiration is well documented.

Look, I get it; the shutdown is risking funding a lot of working people rely on. But with an actually Marxist-Leninist party leading US workers, we also wouldn't be in this situation right now. CPUSA's lib-tailing isn't going to bring change or revolution.

In 1910, socialist women gathered in Copenhagen and first proposed an international working women's day be established. 8 March eventually became the annual day for this event.

In recognition of International Women's Day, here is a thread of articles from our journal dedicated to communist women.

Lest you think that bizarre leftist infighting over dumb shit is confined to niche platforms, there's currently somebody crashing out in the comments of CPUSA's Facebook page because the organization made a memorial post for Dolly Parton today but did not do so for Michael Jackson 17 years ago

Today is the 144th birthday of CPUSA’s former chairman William Z. Foster (February 25, 1881 – September 1, 1961). Foster was a key organizer, leader and strategist of U.S. trade union and working class movement generally.

This isn't edgy & popular, though it's essentially CPUSA's and Angela Davis' position. Voicing (extremely) critical support for Dems given the current political landscape will still get one dogpiled by socialists who are still working thru disillusionment & not thinking realistically/strategically

the Democratic Party has overall built like 0.00000000000001% more communism than the cpusa’s 0%

I don't see the DSA's relationship with Democrats as being especially comparable to the CPUSA's relationship with Democrats. The DSA is having a moment of needing to figure out if they want to be part of a coalition that compromises or not.

CPUSA's greatest hit is probably their unapologetic backing of Japanese internment where their historic position is that they're the real victims for being duped by the federal government and because contemporary marxism is mostly cults I have white people proudly telling me this

Vivek Chibber is what you get when the CPUSA's membership is 90% dead but their estates demanded someone continue writing polemics against those New Left whippersnappers.

I’m curious what you think this proves. Do you want the list of Smith Act prosecutions?

The struggle for full legalization of our party
On the CPUSA’s visible “existence” in national life Before I joined the CPUSA in the spring of 2017, I had no idea that the Communist Party of the United States still existed.

basically, she talks about how CPUSA's leading faction has all but disavowed the proletarian revolution, that it actively tells people to "vote blue no matter who," talks down to the more radical black folks in the party, etc.

basically just that the CPUSA is in the fucking toilet rn

The CPUSA’s National Committee met at the party’s headquarters Oct. 11–12 to analyze the latest developments in the country’s political situation and set a course of action for the period ahead. Read the full article here: www.cpusa.org/article/comm...
