I had a moderately lengthy conversation with someone about iNat today. My experience is mostly with Calflora and I’ve found iNat frustrating and cumbersome because of the excellence of Calflora. But in other states there’s nothing else for citizen science.

I like Mexican sage too, as do hummingbirds, but Calflora says it isn't native to California.

Got back from Pinnacles yesterday evening. It was great to have a hot bath. I posted some pics last night. The two fritillaries I was looking for are behind locked gates 😭 The guy who posted their locations on Calflora must have been doing either BLM or mining company surveys.
