Today I caught these awesome aircraft #mirages at #OxfordAirport! Both #aircraft were #DiamondDA42 #TwinStar, 1st was reg: G-OATB, 2nd was G-LHXD. Photos were taken with a #Canon1100D + #Sigma 400mm zoom lens, hand-held hence the video being a bit wobbly! #HeatHaze #Aviaton

#StarTrails over the #fairground As soon as I saw the #HelterSkelter I knew I wanted these shots. 15 minutes and 20 minutes, made up of 30 sec shots, #Canon1100D + 18-55mm lens. The monochrome versions are blue channel only to keep the foreground in silhouette

#IridescentVapourTrails 28 June '26 Boeing 787 + 3 July '26 two different Airbus A350s. When sunlight is diffracted by tiny water droplets condensing out over the aircraft it results in bands of colour similar to coronas/iridescent clouds. Oxfordshire, UK #Canon1100D +300mm lens #AtmosphericOptics

I caught 2 #Lyrids overnight 22/23 Apr '26, one at 23:40BST the other at 01:18BST. Both were caught on our SW facing meteor camera. My dew band failed so my lens fogged up at 2am. #Canon1100D + 18-55mm lens, ISO-1600 13sec f/3.5. #Oxfordshire, UK #LyridsMeteorShower #Meteors

#Comet #C2025A6 #Lemmon from #Oxfordshire, UK 21 Oct '25. #Canon1100D 50mm lens, 122x10sec, ISO-800 f/2.2, total exposure 20min 20sec. I observed it visually with 15x70 binos & my observed tail length was about 1 deg 15min, but the ion tail is ~13 degrees on the stacked image!
