Ja, ich habe das auch erst vor nicht allzu langer Zeit gelernt, dass die Karde zur Familie der Geißblattgewächse gehört. Die Vertreter der Caprifoliaceae kannte ich bis dahin auch nur als wunderbar duftende Klettergewächse 🤷🏻♂️

I was so happy to find a volunteer bush honeysuckle in the rock wall just outside the west office window.
I wildly hoped despite the common name a lingering doubt was wrong, but nope...Caprifoliaceae family.
Which explained my much worse than usual allergies this early in the year here. 😓
