Gonna have to siphon off some cartilage too, its part of the package

Very happy to see Mick Foley in the slot "RJ City with more money and less knee cartilage" (but also give RJ City a raise)

Results promptly back with doctor who had meanwhile been chasing my historic X-rays. Taken through X-rays in detail (yes, you have no cartilage!). Only frustrating wait was 3/4hr at pharmacy for prescription anti-inflammatories. All in all, top service. Thank you Lister / NHS 2/2

Sure, maybe it’s not biologically accurate- sharks and their relatives, after all, have skeletons made out of cartilage not bone- but I do love my spooky Halloween shark skeleton.

Tiny Holes to Help Repair a Knee

Nearly 1/3 of collagen is made of glycine — but modern lean-protein diets (chicken breast, egg whites, shakes) skip the parts that actually contain it (skin, bone, cartilage). You can hit your protein target and still fall short on glycine. Full piece in comments 👇https://buff.ly/4uCV4lm

I wrote this because collagen labels make the “Type I for skin, Type II for joints” idea sound way too simple. The biology is messier—and more interesting—than matching Roman numerals to body parts.

Collagen Types and the Spare-Parts Myth
Collagen Types Are Not Spare Parts The most expensive mistake in the collagen aisle is treating collagen types like replacement parts. The logic seems reasonable at first. Type I collagen is abundant in skin, so a Type I supplement must rebuild skin. Type II collagen dominates cartilage, so Type II

The sequence reveals administrative cruelty. • After earlier violence in his unit, Lobkov reported a broken larynx cartilage and a broken rib. • He was discharged from Kursk Regional Hospital, then suffered a stroke on the train in Yaroslavl.

There still skin over the cartilage that bleeds.

What controls the balance between #cartilage and #BoneFormation?
ST3GAL1-associated α-2,3 sialylation regulates chondrocyte and #osteoblast differentiation, with its loss impairing growth plate maturation & reducing bone mass.

Printed microscaffolds regrew cartilage in living animals for the first time. Using BIO INX's DEGRAD INX resin, a TU Wien-led team regenerated rabbit cartilage to about 91% of native thickness. https://bioinx.com/news/bio-inx-material-enables-functional-cartilage-regeneration-rabbit-study

J’ai mélangé leur amour pour la bidoche et la nouvelle tendance qui consiste à se faire éclater le cartilage des oreilles pour avoir l’air d’un vieux boxeur….
Apparemment, c’est ça le nouveau sexy pour les mascus…. 🤐

It's that time of year again when feathers, cartilage, and skin magically petrify.

Surgery can make sense where the problem is genuinely unfixable otherwise, so I had the torn cartilage in my hips repaired for example, but you do want it to be a last resort and a good surgeon will generally expect you to try quite a bit of physio beforehand either way.

Apparently that little lump of skin/cartilage that sits in your ear, attached to your head, right in front of your ear canal is called the Tragus. What I want to know is why have mine STARTED GROWING HAIR! It's not like my ear is getting colder as I age.

writing is so fun until you've written the interesting scenes out and it's just the connective tissue that remains. the tendons and cartilage that let everything become a single unified whole instead of a mess of pieces scattered about. hold. ive reframed it and thusly no longer find it difficult.
