Vaguely removed from the context in question, but I do think it matters explaining why this justification processors use of "risk of chargebacks" is complete and utter bullshit. In my 2 years on gumroad, I had ONE chargeback. Almost 1000 sales, and one single chargeback of 3 dollars.

As a backup, you can always file a chargeback with your bank or method of payment and state “I want to cancel the service but was not provided a working means to do so.”

Saw them deactivate their account in real time, so I strongly recommend anyone that commissioned them to file a chargeback as soon as possible cuz charging 400 bucks for each AI trace is ridiculous

This is, of course, contingent on you not having high chargebacks, they don't allow any kind of money transfer business, and you will basically lose any chargeback no matter what you do, but winning a chargeback is rare enough to be noteworthy with the other card companies anyway.
