This photo consists of two images blended into each other. The first is the photo of Britt: Nikon Z6ii 24-70mm Lens 1/160th sec f/5 ISO 2500 Godox strobe and octobox Because these setting would create an almost-black sky behind her, I took 20 photos of the Milky Way at 30-seconds each, stacked/processed the image, and was able to line up the stars where they should be behind Britt. This striking photo, taken on Folly Beach, South Carolina, captures a breathtaking nighttime scene beneath a star-studded sky. At the heart of the image stands a woman laying down under a dead tree, with the Milky Way sprawling majestically across the sky above her. The soft lighting on the subject contrasts beautifully with the cosmic grandeur behind her, evoking themes of mysticism, serenity, and celestial connection.

Her expression is serene with a soft, gentle smile. • Appearance: She has medium-length, dark brown hair that falls past her shoulders, dark eyebrows, and a warm complexion. • Attire: She is wearing a bright, sleeveless pink dress or top featuring a high neckline. Background & Lighting • Setting: The background features a large body of water, likely a lake or a wide river, reflecting the warm hues of the sunset or sunrise. The silhouetted shape of a tree, reminiscent of a cypress, is visible on the right side. • Lighting: The scene is illuminated by warm, golden light coming from behind and to the upper right side of the frame. This creates a distinct rim light or highlight effect along the contours of her hair and shoulder. • Composition: The background is softly blurred (shallow depth of field), which keeps the main focus entirely on the woman.

Falcon 9 cruising past my neighborhood in South Carolina. Taken with my DJI Air 3s.

#ButroStars #falcon9 #rocket #nightphotography #CharlestonSC #SpaceX
The photograph captures the stunning "twilight phenomenon" of a rocket launch streaking across an early morning or twilight sky. Key Elements of the Image: • The Rocket Plume: In the upper right quadrant of the sky, a bright, glowing white exhaust trail fans out into a wide, aerodynamic shape often referred to as a "jellyfish" effect. This distinctive plume occurs when high-altitude exhaust gases from a rocket (such as a SpaceX Falcon 9) expand in the thin upper atmosphere and reflect sunlight from below the horizon. • The Sky: The sky displays a beautiful gradient gradient, transitioning from a dark violet-blue at the top down to a glowing orange and yellow sunrise or sunset line just above the horizon. Small, faint stars or speckles of light are visible in the upper left. • The Landscape: Below the horizon line lies a vast, dark landscape stretching into the distance. In the foreground, a residential neighborhood or cluster of buildings is brightly lit up, casting a warm yellow and white glow that contrasts with the dark forested areas surrounding it. "One part attitude. One part mystery. Totally confident."

Model: Gucci

#model #portrait #nikon #offcameraflash #CharlestonSC #alley
This is a moody, cinematic fashion portrait photographed in an outdoor restaurant/café setting at dusk or evening. The woman is dressed in a fitted black dress with a halter-style neckline and black high heels, creating a sleek, sophisticated look. She is posed dynamically against the railing, with one leg extended and her body angled diagonally through the frame. Her upward gaze and hand near her neckline give the image a confident, almost theatrical quality. The lighting is one of the strongest elements: cool ambient blue tones in the background contrast with the warmer illumination on her skin and the deep red restaurant umbrella overhead. The glowing “COAST” neon sign adds a strong environmental element and gives the photograph a distinctly urban/nightlife feel. The composition also works because of the diagonal lines created by her body, the railing, and the architectural elements. It feels less like a conventional portrait and more like a frame from a sophisticated fashion film.
