I've made *many* little SynthDIY boards over the years, targeting: low-cost, for newbies, Pico & CircuitPython. Here are some.
I've never been quite satisfied w/ the results.
Maybe the solution is more knobs & more choc keyswitches?
Good idea?

I think this is a good thing for the #CircuitPython community.

The Mu editor had issues and we all know resources are limited.

Thonny and VSCode have both delivered solid solutions for developing code for CircuitPython hardware. There is even a browser-based IDE if you use chrome based browsers.

Next up is Building CircuitPython with Dan Halbert, and last will be on Writing a CircuitPython Library. I'm excited to venture out into more topic based episodes in addition to interviews and if you have any feedback, let me know!

I am taking advantage of the F'ing tariffs to pick up some of my UFOs (un finished objects).

One of these is a 3-axis camera slider. I have this MKS DL32 CNC controller for the project.

Recently, @adafruit.com shared a camera slider running CircuitPython. This will be different but the same 🙄

The focus is MicroPython, but I believe ViperIDE works well with CircuitPython these days? It's a very good browser-based editor.

(Also requires a Chrome-based browser, unfortunately)

I wrote about a project I did for my kid a few weeks ago: he found using a regular die for dice chess inconvenient, so I replaced it with an ESP32 and some Python code.
