Jumped onto the #iPod trend and revived mine bought 20 years ago (surprisingly the spicy pillow wasn't that spicy). Fun weekend project. Removed the HDD and tiny battery for flash memory and 3000mAh. New shiny back and transparent front and clickwheel. #Moondrop headphones and #Rockbox firmware. 🎧🎶

Experienced this the other day. It's bananas that areas of Texas went seemingly from the not-quite-intuitive-but-consistent Hart Intercivic eSlate clickwheel voting machines to Resistive Touch (not Capacitive Touch), complete with missing touch events a fair amount.

Once again, I'm reminded I would buy a modern clickwheel iPod in a heartbeat. Color screen not required.

5th gen clickwheel used a tiny ground strap instead of the frame screws later ones used 🙃
but i wanna use the 7th gen clickwheel because it sits flush to the 7th gen faceplate (and its pink ^_^)

after 2 years im finally pulling the trigger on my ipod mod...
nothing too crazy just moving my 5.5 gen classic to a 7th gen shell and clickwheel. it does mean i have to replace the midframe and reground the clickwheel which will be... fun

I saw a promising DAP with a clickwheel and an iPod-esque interface and I was interested in it until I found out it only supports SBC for bluetooth audio, the very-noticeably worst audio codec, and to skip tracks or go back to previous tracks you need to do double and triple taps. Seriously?

I just started using an iPod I ordered and wow is that true. The clickwheel feels so much better than a small innacurate touchscreen and the reflective LCD looks really well in the sunlight.

I do miss my old iPod Nano. A few years ago I got this hi-fi player. And nowadays I'm using it a lot whenever I'm walking around the city!
The UI is... okay, but it does have clickwheel, physical buttons and a headphone jack!
