We need a new definition of wealth. One that values:
‎
‎· Ecological integrity
‎· Community health
‎· Long-term resilience
‎· Intergenerational justice
‎
‎Fighting climate change is, at its core, a fight against this arrogant, short-sighted logic.

Climate economists may be underestimating the true cost of warming. New research suggests climate damage to global GDP could be far greater than many models assume, raising the stakes for policy, markets, and action now.

Have Economists Underestimated the Cost of Climate Change?
A new study suggests global warming could slash global GDP by up to 30% per degree of warming and reshape climate policy debates.

🌊 "Super El Niño could cost $5.6 trillion!" said a Japanese headline.

But that's a 1997–98 estimate of income lost through 2003. For the same event, the World Bank said $45 billion. 100x smaller.

Same El Niño. Very different math.

Fossil fuels are NOT cheaper than renewables.

It's not cheap if it needs a $7 trillion (trillion-with-a-tr) subsidy to survive. It's a catastrophic market failure.

Renewables are cheaper.
