#ClimateVandalism
If this is true, it's nothing more than #ClimateVandalism at this point and my friends who are still at Unite the Union might want to consider how their membership fees are being used to campaign for this to go ahead. 😥

The Govt claiming we must drill more fossil fuels so we can use the tax revenues to fund the green transition is about as logical as a doctor telling you to smoke 2 packs a day to raise the money for your lung transplant

You don’t put out a fire by pouring on more fuel 🔥#Jackdaw

The approval of the Jackdaw gas field is an environmental catastrophe. But also, side-eyeing this from an industry which has lost THIRTY THOUSAND JOBS in the past five years, what the absolute fuck is this justification?
From the govt's press release:

"The developer estimates that Jackdaw will create 27 new direct jobs and safeguard 273 existing jobs that would otherwise be lost."

Odd that so much is made about this being good for jobs. Your nearest out-of-town supermarket likely generates more jobs.

I’ll believe it when I see it.

This Albanese ALP government is woeful.

Anyone would think it was a Howard Government.

Hard to think of a more deeply damaging start to Burnham’s premiership than giving green light to new oil & gas in N. Sea, if true. It won’t lower bills or lead to greater energy security but will drive an even hotter planet. What a terrible signal to give to rest of the world #ClimateVandalism

Some people just want the world to burn, or Burnham in this case. Seriously, how can you just ignore the climate science, or the thousands of deaths and discomfort thousands have had to endure? Hope this #ClimateVandalism does not go ahead. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

It’s over to you now.
Last week we delivered a letter urging the new Energy Secretary not to approve the Rosebank oil field. You can add your voice by signing the open letter to her - it lakes less than a minute.

I was half tempted to give Burnham a chance.

“He can’t be any worse than we’ve had recently.”

But already he’s pandering to Donald Trump, Nigel Farage and Kemi Badenoch.

When will the world wake up about what’s happening to our planet and ecosystems 😢

#climatevandalism at its worst 😔

Sounds really bad, Caroline. Well done for calling on the Greens to go in hard on Burnham at the Makerfield by-election though.
