one of the advantages of 2 clone robos was that you can swap while in knockdown state, which turned disadvantage/oki into a reversal situation, esp with a closerange gun like shotguns. but if your opponent knew how to pilot a mech that hard countered you, having x2 HP didn't net you much advantage.

nah, there's a huge saga about this, also for containers (docker etc). some software actively closes all file descriptors upon startup or forking or whatever, and without the relatively new closerange() syscall (not used but all software) a higher limit caused endless hanging
