FYI if you are thinking of reading #AgainstTheCurrent novel because you want to dwell deeper into the themes and stories the #cdrama presents, don’t do it.
The characters are nothing like in the tv adaptation, their actions and intentions very different and the love story it’s not good IMHO.

One of the most ridiculous things in a #cdrama or cnovel is... character takes a sword through the chest? NBD they can just walk it off. Maybe a few acupuncture needles, or a negligible amount of hemostatic powder - OVER the clothes.

I have found an omega verse gem, it's perhaps my fave portrayal of the trope in cnovel ever. It's about an admiral and his secretary, it's a bit silly and maybe too over the top sometimes, but I loved how their relationship evolved, and the delicious tragic past 🤌

🙄🙄🙄 cnovel authors are sometimes just too ridiculous. I’ve now read 2+ books where the heroes were off fighting in wars at 8-9 years old. Which I guess makes the other 11-13 yo heroes starting off fighting in wars look “old” 🙄🙄🙄😒

Oh!!! Maybe I’ve stumbled upon the “why” of these cnovel “extras” - that really are a direct continuation of the story. Just saw an author say the “end” is the end of the “plot line” but the extras continue on the “emotional line” (daily life, sweet interactions, etc.)
