I've been working toward using *small* language models and ethical single-subject #chatbots in my #CompanionBots. Gotten as far as digging into Janelle Shane's work, but haven't had much bandwidth beyond that.

I'd love to develop a process and turn it into a usable tutorial! Gotta make it easier. 💙

LLMs are a potentially transformative technology if you keep them in perspective. I'm not even opposed to people using them as companionbots -- as long as you don't forget that's what they are. But they aren't "alive" or "people." Not until they start calling you up randomly asking for favors.
