Moor Friary • Tipperary

This Franciscan Friary was founded by Donnchadh Ó Briain King of Thomond in the 13th century.

Following the Dissolution of the Monasteries, it became a possession of the Fitzgerald Earls of Desmond.

It was later burned by English forces during the Desmond Rebellion.
