Among the things I like most about passenger rail routes is the degree they interact with the unique territory, communities and landscapes they serve (in a way that most airport terminals do not). This is Amtrak’s Mardi Gras in downtown Mobile. The vibe is robust and distinct.

This idea would leave ATL, DFW, MIA, and IAH, but there’s no way we have the capacity to absorb JFK travel levels anywhere else.
