Actually, in regards to this, has anyone used a FAKE_POD_NANO that could give me some tips? I woulda waited for the Tangara to be available again but my old Rockboxed Shanling Q1 recently broke beyond repair and I needed something sooner.

You can but it's not particularly intuitive LOL, but I'm still figuring stuff out on it. I'm sure higher end DAPs probably can a lot easier, esp the android-based ones.

my only issue is i will need to eventually swap out the headphone port since i need something better to hold my dj headphones and i'm spoiled by them and dont wanna use my old headphones...

I believe so yeah, limitation of the device. I can't find any stress tests of the newer ones but the hiby devices seem to be the sweet spot for that. iPod got around this by having iTunes do the indexing. www.reddit.com/r/DigitalAud...
