I made a free, browser based x86 disassembler with CPU-specific modes.

Disassemble POP CS at last!

No ads or trackers. If I ever make it shitty, fork it.

This is quite addictive. I’ve already got it running a subset of Z80. It helps that I’ve already written a disassembler, so have worked out how to decode opcodes.
I realised this afternoon that the Z80 disassembler I wrote in C a couple of years ago would be a really good foundation for a Z80 emulator. Yes I know there are a load of them online, but where’s the fun in using someone else’s?

Been working on a BEAM disassembler today! It supports Erlang, Elixir and Gleam, and tries to interleave the original source code wherever possible

The official disassembler didn't show the issue, the software simulator didn't have any problems because of how the cache simulation worked.

In July 1985 Atari User published my 6502 disassembler. I was working in-house as an editorial assistant at the time and they wanted some techincal articles for the recently launched magazine. It's written entirely in BASIC. How can this be nearly 40 years ago?

So for my first post on Bluesky, I'm happy to share that LIEF (extended) is now providing an API to disassemble code (backed by the LLVM MC layer).

This disassembler is integrated with other functionalities
like dyldsc or DWARF info.

You can checkout lief.re/doc/latest/e... for the details.
