I'd be prepared to make a small wager that the idiot thinks all the battle droids are actually named "Roger".

I love stuff like this, where it's possible to reinterpret art as culture and tech changes. Similar to the way LLMs add a wrinkle to things like Star Wars droids: it may have a natural language interface but it's not actually sentient, making the way people treat droids like shit hit different.
Saren hits different in the age of “AI is inevitable” bullshit

Who programmed the nurse droids, hm?!?

How is it that second hand nurse droids can treat severed limbs and extreme lightsaber injuries but are unable to assess material health?

Dan is so cool and it was a huge opportunity to interview him! Thanks to Tharg’s droids for all their help!
MEGA-INTERVIEW!

I'VE BEEN SAYING!

Star Wars is exactly the tech-integrated world we should expect from AI as it exists rn. Droids! But they break all the time. More droids! But they're annoying and won't shut the fuck up. Even more droids! But you can't trust them so it's better to deal with people.
‪One of the implications of Star Wars is that technology doesn't alleviate poverty or drudgery. Everyone is engaged in massively tech-enabled subsistence farming or manual labour; even white collar workers are card punching drones. This is the future our tech oligarchy want

Wikipedia: "According to Star Wars reference books, the population of the Death Star was 1.7 million military personnel, 400,000 maintenance droids, and 250,000 civilians, associated contractors and catering staff"

Well, that is dumb so I assume it is true

That space station was literally part of an occupying force doing several war crimes and most of the casualties were droids

opinionated astromech droids hold up half the entire galaxy
Just a reminder that the true heroes of Star Wars are a tribe of guérilla warriors and a maintenance worker.

Everyone who says they’re paying close attention to KY-4 and VA-7 and whatever today sounds like a Star Wars character worried about their uppity droids
