rereading that one DW3R interview again and am amazed to find out the dev team was "the two series leads, a single guy who worked on the cutscenes for DW3, and a ton of junior staff who just really liked DW3 before joining us"

I'll be honest, I'm kinda not liking how Ziluan plays in DW3r, he zips a bit too much during combos. Gan Ning is pretty cool tho👍

this is especially noticeable with DW3R because individual maps can completely differ between difficulties. you don't even need to *enter* the main camp on Yellow Turban Rebellion until you go to Hard/Chaos mode, and Normal!Yiling vs. Hard!Yiling may as well be two different missions

They should, but apparently DW fans are in this weird era of not wanting new games. They want remastered versions of older games when Origins is sat there with a perfect sequel hook

for me it's like. DW3R is kind of a slam dunk, and it just won't be as impressive if you give that same treatment to 4 and 5 cause we've already seen it lmao. if anything they should syncretize the lessons they learned from both Origins and DW3R to something new.

I assume the Origins series will be a trilogy and I'd sooner see those two games released rather than remastered versions of earlier games despite how much I really like DW3R.

Not directly related but Lu Xun can get a combo rating of 100 with only his starting weapon which is impressive...boy is fast.
