How we talk about our #multilinguallearners matters.

They do not have "zero English" or are "behind grade level" or "that teacher's kids."

They are "emergent bilinguals", "on their language journey", and "our students".

Shift your perspective. Shift your practice. #mll #eal

I don't always love #duallanguage books, but I can recommend these two in #Spanish & #English:

1. Flotando en la canción de mamá / Floating on Mama's Song (Laura Lacámara, Yuyi Morales)

The illustrations are absolutely wonderful!
