At 13:50 today @ESBNetworks say 460k premises still without power with over 250k already restored but many will remain without power for days. @IrishWater say 120k are without water.

Amazing work from @ESBNetworks who now restored power to 275,000 premises as of 8:35pm. They continue to work on restoring power to the remaining 120,000 premises but some will remain without power for days.

While @ESBNetworks have restored power to 375,000 customers 20,000 still without power as of 5pm today. Today crews from their French counterparts Enedis arrived to assist. Irish crews helped them after Storm Ciaran last year resulted in 1.2 million French customer losing power.

The @ESBNetworks crews have done amazing work to restore power to 626,000 but sadly day 6 of no power now for 148,000 premises. Latest map shows Northern half of country impacted. We really a plan for those without heat to get hot meals and accommodation. Another frosty night ahead tonight.

Winds remain strong as @ESBNetworks work on that huge number of power outages. This pole is leaning onto the N81 just outside Tullow on Dublin side. Scattered heavy showers crossing country but some bright spells developing too.

Fair play to @ESBNetworks crews down below 50k and they expect majority to have power restored by Sunday night but some smaller faults could go into early next week. Interesting Roscommon is one of the worst areas but it was only added to Orange warning late in the day.

The Glasnevin Road was closed due to fallen cables earlier. @ESBNetworks responded and the scene was made safe.
