Seeing that some romance writers are discounting their ebooks while Ao3 is down and that's both kind and good marketing.

Just a nod to the AI flood also drowning out my eBooks on the storefronts.
"The number of game pages being created per-day has doubled in the past 2 months"

Itch is being flooded by AI-generated garbage:

October books:
Books in: 22 (19 physical, 3 ebooks)
Books read: 3 (all ebooks)
Books unread: 556 (382 physical, 174 ebooks)
Last month Books unread: 537 (363 physical, 174 ebooks)

Unread is up 100 from January, but I've been reading at half the rate of last year. 15 in to the new Scavenge category.

WTF? Wusstet ihr, dass man die Seite seines Buches oder eBooks bei Spotify scannen kann und dann springt das dazugehörige Hörbuch ab dieser Stelle und läuft weiter? Nennt sich Page Match.

Wie geil ich das denn?? 😲

WHY must the page numbers of book chapters be hidden from us in ebooks, tables of contents, etc. WHY? What terrible harm would it do to let us have that information?! 😭

instead of relying on unethical ai driven scrapings of fic without the writers' knowledge or consent, may I suggest you read: www.gutenberg.org

If you go to her website (presumably hosted from a bedroom PC to avoid datacenters), you can follow links to buy her ebook. I'd be curious to know about the datacenter-free supply chain she uses for delivering those ebooks.
