📊 New JMP: Religious resistance to smallpox vaccination in colonial India (1868-78): Districts with ⬆️ Hindu population had 0.89-1.98pp ⬇️ vaccination rates, with lasting demographic effects. Using temple desecration sites as IV.

This semester, I teach at UPSE an elective on Philippine economic history, specifically the economy under the Marcos Sr dictatorship (1972-1986). On Thursday I'll have a guest speaker give updates about the quest to recover the Marcoses' ill-gotten wealth (est. at $5-10 billion). #EconHistory
