I told you I had more OC's to put in this than Ottoline.

She would always cherish the caves and tundras of Ilsabard. But for those at one with nature, the Black Shroud and its verdant woods were a balm for the soul.

"Pardon me... Would you please pass me my heel?"

#EuphemiaScaurus | #Highlander
A single high heel falls from a height in the Black Shroud. A Wood Wailer catches the heel in her arms, bewildered. She looks up, a woman's voice calling to her from high up. Lounging on a thick tree branch, Euphemia cheekily calls out to the Wood Wailer, asking if she can give that back.

Braving the frontier provinces. 🌨️

Euphemia in cold-weather attire as she travels through the Ilsabardian tundra, within the Garlean Empire but far from any major urban centers. Her ceruleum-tipped staff doubles as a walking stick as she scans the horizon for landmarks while the winds pick up.

There are things in Ilsabard far older than magitek, and the Empire itself. Old ways that once shined a beacon in the cold. Ways that were incompatible with the new Garlemald. And now, people who desperately seek to keep the old ways alive.

A woman in a blue regal dress with a blue-tipped staff watches as the fire rages and burns down what was once a temple. Ansellus: My lady. We're still counting the casualties, but the remaining Imperial forces have been routed. We've resecured the grounds, or what's left of it. Euphemia: What word from the other sanctuaries? Ansellus: Our brethren across the frontier are safe and sound. As far as we're aware, the Imperials haven't been searching there. They were only after *you* specifically. Euphemia: How many more must suffer in my presence, Ansellus? Ansellus: My lady, it's not your fault. We understood the risks. If the Empire will not allow us to worship the gods, *our* gods, then we will fight to keep our ways safe.

"Nature takes many forms. These caves are the veins of the star. Ceruleum, its blood. Every rising flame, the beat of its heart. It soothes the soul as any verdant forest. And its whispers are just as plentiful."

A woman in ceremonial garb with an ornate staff walks through a deep, subterranean cave, lit brightly in azure hues by natural ceruleum. Front view of the woman as she walks forward in a meditative calm, clad in deep blue jewelry, including necklace and circlet. As the flames behind her reach their height, the priestess raises her staff. The ceruleum crystals at its tip resonate with the cave, releasing its own soothing blue glow. Several people around her, ranging from farmers to soldiers, bow in reverence. She smiles as she holds her staff aloft. Nature takes many forms. And despite the unconventional forms, its beauty can't be underestimated. And neither its boons for mankind.
