Bigots using Israel as a fig leaf for their Islamophobia is the obvious mirror of how obviously antisemitic people use “anti-Zionism” as a fig leaf for their bigotry
I've heard a few centrist Dem anti-El Sayed Jews make the argument that their views are in no way inspired by Islamophobia or racism, simply aversion to El-Sayed's anti-Zionism. They don't seem to realize how this mirrors the argument made by Jewish orgs that Zionism is innate to Jewish identity.
