A very strong field this week. JC is magnificent in Johnny Guitar. Battle Royale is Japanese scathing satire at its best. The Ear was banned in Stalinist Czechoslovakia and then forgotten. FWtBT romanticises Spanish Civil War but is my FotW.

What's the diff between a drone and a dirge? Not sure, but I was in the mood to listen to Sunn O))) while drafting a brief, so behold their version of Metallica's "For Whom The Bell Tolls."

Fwtbt (I Dream of Lars Ulrich Being Thrown Through the Bus Window Instead of My Master Mystikal Kliff Burton)
Deleted a post about “what’s your least favorite song” because the vibes are bad enough already.
Instead: what’s your favorite song that has a long title, say at least 6 words long?
Mine: “Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town” (Pearl Jam)

Just found out that my plans might take a full year to make FWTBT if I was a coder/designer while redesigning Starli/Andromeda💔💔💔
BUT I'M NOT GIVING UP, IF ANYONE CAN CODE OR LIKES PAPER MARIO OR WHATEVER, NOTE THIS, I SWEAR I WANT TO MAKE IT GOOD🙏

Robin wore THIS hat starting I think in October/November 1993 and wore it at almost every event, appearance and performance. After October, 1993, I can't find a (1993) photo where he is not wearing this hat including video for FWTBT, etc.

@sea-ya-later.bsky.social On my second listen through of FWtBT, and I was curious if 1412 was a Proverbs reference, or some other sneaky thing I didn't get...

i’m still trying to join all the dots but FWTBT has this imagery of earth/soil and the theme that “true living” is living in appreciation and harmony with nature

My book of the summer is still For Whom the Belle Tolls. Yes. Surprising. I know. It’s not even a graphic novel. It’s one of those novels that are mostly words. Weird right?Anyway, go check out FWTBT. It’s something special. www.simonandschuster.com/books/For-Wh...

I think what most encapsulates the band is Whiplash but FWTBT has extra layers for me memory-wise

New art of FWTBT Dimentio, this time it's based on a Vocaloid song named "The Boy Who Went to Hell" by Shudder(Yes, to my Tumblr fans, I'm STILL working on the animation about Chaos, this was just for fun💔)
Don't mind him smiling he is NOT enjoying this

I am not on Fable. I probably should look into that and join though lol. I’m sure that will help with the constant dilemma of what do I read next 😂. I’m still fairly early in FWTBT, but it is great so far. Directly related to her TikTok series if you have seen any of the author’s shorts on there.

I've just read about the WWII liberation of Paris. Hemingway comes across as a self-aggrandising egotist.
But to say that FWTBT was a literary failure just doesn't ring true.

He only listened to Master of Puppets for about 30 seconds before going off out to play so I might get to play some of the intro of FWtBT for him next time! 😂

I still don't understand why, if Casablanca won Best Picture and Best Director that year—meaning it was a more respected film than FWTBT—Ingrid was nominated for the latter when her work in Casablanca is far superior and her character much more interesting. It makes no sense!

Nice! I saw a mash-up between All I Want For Christmas Is You and For Whom the Bell Tolls a while back, then immediately made my own version
(The version I saw had the instrumental from AIWFCIY and vocals from FWTBT, my version had it the other way around, and some other shenanigans)

I need to read my inside Oscar chapter for ‘43, but I think at the time Casablanca was slightly an underdog and not the front runner.
FWTBT is much more their kind of movie—epic, literary, all four main actors nominated. Plus Bergman is playing a young neophyte woman vs her Isla who is more a woman

Reading FWtBT has really just made me want to write myself. I want to get "FL" out there, and I think I'm gonna have to forgo my want to make it a comic. Too much is in the text at this point, I just have to think of how to bridge it all together.
Roughly 75 chapters, give or take a few.

Yeah, I KNOW Dimentio is a villain but I want to put him in a kind of "slowly going insane and falling into omnicidal tendencies but refusing to trust anyone to not be seen as weak" arc for my AU because the Underwhere and the personification of the Chaos Heart who now has his soul aren't nice!
