I think the main falsifiable and yet to be substantiated near term prediction from LW is that RSI will explode instead of staying on the (already nuts) trend.

Given the existence of knitting and crochet it just seems like it should have been obviously falsifiable as a hypothesis.

Another fun wrinkle from that period (that might still exist): I was good at math and loved it and then my geometry teacher told me that I'd probably struggle because female brains were bad at spatial thinking. I kept loving math & being good at it but assumed that would end so I ended it first.

“Portland is burning to the ground” is an empirically verifiable/falsifiable claim. If our oligarch-owned media were interested in truth rather than serving the regime, they would report it as false every time he said it. They could for example be in Portland and look around and go “hmm, nope”

the other part of this is that while Nazis might make some factual claims, the central claim of fascist movements is not an objective or falsifiable one. they’re claiming that they, the ingroup, are the rightful inheritors of power. you can’t argue with that, you can only fight it
People who say of Nazis “deal with bad ideas is by defeating them in the marketplace of ideas” are smuggling in the notion that Nazi ideas have not already been defeated on the merits, and are still valid and worthy to consider, or that Nazi "ideas" involve bloodless debate.

Right way to do this: small panels with control joints, recoating in-window, or abrading and priming every lap. This job did the opposite.
