There is in fact a big difference between random fancontent being shoved in actors’ faces without permission in order to make fun of it and/or make them uncomfortable and actors being supportive and excited to engage in fancontent willingly provided to them.

The fact that TV Tropes has removed almost all of its indie VTuber pages for being "non-narrative" really shows how that site basically thrives on media illiteracy - "if it can't be defined in a handy list of niche buzzwords, it's worth nothing."
