Hitting on sexism, transphobia, and fatphobia all in one, my ex was severely mistreated EVEN BY A DOCTOR WHO WAS VERY GOOD TO HIM AFTER THIS POINT.
The doctor shouldn't have needed someone he saw as a man to tell him to do his job, but he defaulted to ignoring "fat women who complain".

Haven't felt really all that good about myself in a while. Ongoing dysphoria season which is based mostly on size and weight mixing with internalized fatphobia and body dysmorphia. I hate how I am looking in every photo not taken by me specifically.

fatphobia is the same, unfortunately. saw research that shows people (both fat & thin people) hate fat people more when they see more of us. delightful.

a while back we started watching Friends with LilAware and yes it's fun and funny but also a LOT of problematic stuff that pushed some good conversations about things like the shows homophobia, fatphobia, lack of diversity, and mostly Ross-related (sometimes truly) terrible relationship behavior
I dont know much here -- I only took 1 undergrad law class when i was at Cornell -- but NYU did have Ross Geller on faculty for years even though they knew he dated a student

Beyond missing the point of music, this makes me annoyed again at Wall:E’s casual fatphobia. Simply having humanity utterly disconnected from each other and the world around them, unthinking consumers of predigested pulp, would have been a lot more prescient.

Yeah medical fatphobia is REAL, 1000% yes, but there are yeah multiple factors going on simultaneously with it from the care team’s perspective. Weight loss is *usually* (not always) a less intrusive process than actual surgery, and they’re trained to always go through the least intrusive methods

Oof I know the feeling. Just try to remind yourself that China, Japan and South Korea all have seeeerious issues with fatphobia. The sizes aren't even particularly reasonable for their own citizens much less us, because they *want* you to feel like shit about your weight.
