So we're able to communicate through me using Makaton, repeating words etc, he understands quite well, his facial expressions give off a lot despite not speaking, and he does sign back when he feels it's worth it.

I don’t know which desperate, anxious, or depressed parent needs to hear this tonight, but my formula-fed baby is now a happy, healthy, profoundly gifted 6yr old with a big heart who is has a very close bond with his mother & his family.
But most importantly: he is alive.

That’s me right now, for the second time- unable to produce enough milk for my baby. I am so thankful that formula exists, because it kept my son healthy and alive and is now doing the same for my daughter. #FedIsBest
My wife breastfed the best she could, but our kids needed supplemental formula. She broke down in tears because she felt like she was a failure for needing to supplement. Assholes like this do so much damage by feeding into mothers' fears. Fed is best.
