On this day 12 and a half years ago I saw the coolest ever iceberg. Never seen one like it since.

Some long exposure waves breaking with grey skies above. The nearest wave is quite olive green and the further away one is a more peacock blue. There's some white smooth spray as the exposure length is slowed down.

Peach sunset skies and smooth sea (steely grey) with a couple of waves breaking. The exposure is slowed down so the wave is quite smooth, with some white froth and a turquoise hue where it's breaking.

Parts of the ring road were closed today - winds recorded of 57.5m/s (128 mph/207kpmh) - yikes! Got some amazing massive crashing waves this afternoon at Eyrsti-Fellsfjara beach at Jökulsárlón. Apart from the sand whipping me from behind, I was in heaven!

This day six years ago didn't finish too badly either - beautiful dusk colours at my favourite place in the world - Fellsfjara beach at Jökulsárlón, #Iceland, with a stunning turquoise iceberg in the surf 🥰

Another oldie from my Feb 2018 trip to #Iceland. Sometimes the little bergy bits that wash up on the Fellsfjara beach at Jökulsárlón make the most stunning sculptures, which within minutes/hours will be gone.

I've only been to #Iceland in early Feb once - back in 2018. Here's a photo from that trip from the phenomenal Fellsfjara beach at #Jökulsárlón. According to the name on the file it was dawn!
