Surprised this hasn't been attempted, actually. I can't believe Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson wouldn't be interested, if a decent team approached them. It would be great to see Port Blacksand brought to life (plus the chance to shank that demented wizard, Nicodemus!)

Did you ever read the old DUNGEONEER/BLACKSAND books for Advanced Fighting Fantasy? They were the first game I recall that explicitly used the language of cinema, encouraging the GM to describe the camera panning over the heroes. It even referred to handouts and such as 'props'.

Nice!
Arakor Nicodemus probably has a spell to help with that.
If you're going to Port Blacksand, can you get me some Black Lotus flowers, please?
Or you could epoxy it in 😄

A stunning day in the Icelandic Highlands.
Warm sunshine, mirror-still water and not a breath of wind.
Days like this are rare here and perhaps that's what makes them even more beautiful.

There’s something about the light in Iceland that makes the simplest things feel special. The green moss, the black lava sand and colours that seem to naturally find their way together. 💚🖤

Blacksand and ironglass are FANTASTIC names! You're starting to make Zagnat sound like the PERFECT place to sell their military equipment and technology to potential partners and allies 👀👀👀

Most importantly, they wanted access to the iron veins in the area. Having no access to iron of its own, Lariz has long been forced to eschew the legendary metal, steel, for the more affordable ironglass refined from the ferrous blacksand that they do have access to.

this fight always give me issues bc if you go at it TOO early (usually you do aqua rock then gaia rock) you can kind of limp through the dungeon but then get stomped by the boss bc once it starts using blacksand its over. you have no good AoE heals if you go too early

I’ve been there. A native Hawaiian gentlemen introduced us to fresh raw mollusks plucked from tidal pools. As I recall it was a kind of urchin with flat, layered rather than spiky spines. Hawaiians write songs about black sand.
