Dendroalsia abietina is a moss commonly found on the trunks of old trees in California. Here is an ancient, culturally modified bay laurel with a shroud of Dendroalsia on its trunk. Is this a historically "natural" phenomenon in California's coastal forests? #Mosses #CMT #FireMimicry 🌎🌲🍁🔥🌳🪶🦅🟢
