#Forth-ERA
1500 years ago, the Sixth Astral Era began. The frigid climes brought forth by the great deluge of the Sixth Umbral Era subsided. Shortly after, the survivors formed small communities in Gyr Abania and Sharlayan

The late philosopher Jürgen Habermas believed that “the essence of democracy was discourse, back-and-forth argument about ideas and values,” Adam Kirsch writes. America’s autocratic turn darkened what Habermas called a “politically rather favored life”:
The Era of Rational Discourse Is Over
For Jürgen Habermas, who died in March, the essence of democracy was thoughtful back-and-forth argument.

The Jupiter Ace (1982) used Forth instead of BASIC. Would programming in schools have changed if Forth had been more widely adopted? Who preferred Forth? And WHY are these so madly expensive now?

Heyo! Silent era here!

Is the modern reliance on known IP, sequels, remakes and so forth unique?

How did the silent era compare?

Well, superheroes were just getting started but I will say, a lot of studios wouldn't make a move without having SOMETHING to base a film on, even a magazine story.

I recommend buying this and going forth to sin more creatively with less Enlightenment era medieval bashing.

I'm sorry for bouncing back and forth between my dumb little jokes and doomposting about the worst shit to happen in living memory. If anything survives this era it should at least make for a moderately fascinating exhibit on just how dissonant trying to get by in this moment was

There is a version of this book that I desperately would like to read.

Really all I want is for a major figures of a previous era to reflect and share a few thoughts on how the world they thought they were ushering forth turned into the world we now inhabit.

I have such simple tastes.

that’s it, that’s the era we’re in, there’s nothing more to it

go forth and waste the resources of somebody your dumbass Senator probably voted to confirm, and then later this year go forth and vote like you’re the most voting-pilled lib that ever waved a tiny flag outside a polling place

1) In the era of Big Data and AI and so forth, we have somehow returned to the 1980s "there are too many words in regulations" argument that was silly and embarrassing back then too.

2) The "regulations are unconstitutional" bit is outdated anyway given Loper Bright, 603 US 369. They already won.
Update:

DOGE site is now essentially a college student's web design project that simply regurgitates publicly available information in the form of Storygraphs from Hell

at one point they cite regulatory document word counts as an example of 'inefficiency'

The fact that Ossoff mentioned one woman’s first name *one* time…

and suddenly all of MAGA’s professional trolls are subtweeting him angrily, and Fatal Attraction-esque stories are pouring forth from traditional media sources, says to me that this man clearly knows how to politics in the Trump era

So modern viewers blame the silent era, the silent era blamed the stage, the stage blamed cheesy novels and so forth.

I joke that we're going to find cuneiform texts complaining about those Akkadians and their love of corny old melodrama villains.

"Generically medieval" settings can be irksome, but what really burns me is when people go on about what the medieval period was REALLY like and hit the wrong era. They'll be setting forth a checklist of "authentically medieval" features and I'll be like, you are describing the German Renaissance.

Scottish banknote designs including: otters, salmon, Glenfinnan viaduct, Edinburgh castle, novelist Nan Shepherd, scientist Mary Somerville, red squirrels, the Falkirk Wheel and the Forth Bridge. We managed to survive this decades-long era of Woke, somehow.

If I could make any original TV show, I would wanna make a fantasy show that looks and sounds exactly as if it was made in the 80s- complete with dungeon synth, era correct sound effects, VHS color flaring and so forth.
Like Krull, Hawk The Slayer, Legend, Barbarian Brothers etc
