FoundationDB seems excellent. I’m curious about the upper limits of auto shard rebalancing. I have to guess it’s a costly operation and it seems like something you should have to think about

as a huge foundationdb fanboy this is very exciting !
New largescale database built on foundation db for building appserver backends. Going to have specific facilities for common needs in the atmosphere. That PR is merging some very slick work by @jaz.bsky.social for efficient graph calculations

If it were possible to have foundationdb but with multiple storage engines at once... Like, redwood b-tree for this key range, LSM for this range, ring buffer over here, s3-style storage blocks over here
