I love Quake and Doom but Quake and Doom is owned by id Software which is is owned by Bethesda which is owned by Microsoft, and that kind of sucks.
I'm more than okay with people sailing the high seas, but also you should know that projects like FreeDoom exist.

Every PC should probably just have a Doom source port installed just because. You probably already own the game in some form and thus have the WADs, and if not, well, that's not a problem. Also Freedoom exists, that's alright. Doom should be treated like Solitaire or Minesweeper, a default game app.

My skybox mod has a new name. It now works with 3 more games: Adventures of Square, Chex Quest, and Heretic. I also added a couple new skyboxes for FreeDoom.

Finally found a good use for "negative lights" in #GodotEngine. Gradual fading of map geometry into darkness! Works nicely 🤌
Also, I like the Quake vibe with FreeDoom textures here, as always.
