It's bollocks based on someone who lives in the south-east of England's lazy sterotypes, as usual. E.g. Gails started in south west London and has most of it's branches around there i.e. prime 2024 LD territory. And yeah, I don't think I've ever lived anywhere with a discernible high street

LDs have pretty much swept the board here - our local councillors, 2/3 of the new W Surrey unitary authority, and we're only marginally Tory at Westminster - but we have no Gails.
Which is no loss as far as I'm concerned.

Ok, Hammersmith continues as the oddity, at least 3, maybe more, Gails, and no sign really of Lib Dems.

While I have 2 Gails in easy walking distance, and many other posh bakeries, the Gails are not on my High street.... That must explain why there is no LIbDem presence....

As Liberal Democrat conference gets properly underway our new polling finds that the “Gail’s test” continues to hold true. Lib Dems over perform their national polling by 7 points among those who say they have a Gail’s on their high street, same with Pret!
