I think a big issue with the "Git Gud" mentality is it acts like the solutions to designed problems is to try and be some Elementally Better Human Being instead of us actually thinking about solutions so now we have all these super conceited and entitled gamebros who are dogshit at videogames.

I'd wager it has to do with perceived specialization. So many of those types of gamebros spend all of their time on a single game, usually some kind of shooty shoot game or punchy punch game. So if you aren't awesome at their game, you're an unworthy casual, regardless of your actual gaming prowess.

I'm not counting the bigot gamebros, but it's so sad that the big majority of the fanbase of Hazbin that calls themselves "woke" have hated on Charlie for having "feelings" against your favorite white dude
Hazbin fandom being like "we can't have our woman protagonist be MEAN or she is the biggest bitch", meanwhile, the GOW fandom is like "Faye can and needs to kill more gods in the afterlife"
