Castle an Dinas (St Columb) is an Iron Age hillfort in Cornwall. It is a scheduled monument. It stands 214m above sea level and has views to south and east over Goss Moor to the Hensbarrow Downs, north towards St. Breaock Downs and west to Newquay and the estuary of the Gannel. #HillfortsWednesday

I was never a fan of Newquay, but in the last couple of years I look forward to spending a day here so much so we’re now here for a week. With the Gannel estuary and the harbour along with Fistral & town beaches it’s becoming my favorite place

It used to happen very often in the Gannel estuary in Newquay

The car park is a mile from the sea, but that estuary can fill up very fast on a high tide
