Two graffitied longship prows have been identified on the base of a wooden tub from the #Gokstad Viking Ship, meaning we have graffiti of Viking longships on the grave goods of a Viking longship!

Just because you all need more archaeological sites and finds in your feed. The ship burial at Gokstad near Sandefjord, Southeastern Norway, was excavated in 1880. The ship had a length of 23 m and is dated to around 890 AD. The ship was in use for about 10 years before being used as a burial ship.

Equally valid to get a tiny Viking boat and bury Sibley in it in anaerobic mud. See the Gokstad and Oseberg ship burials.

Alternatively, Denmark has the Skuldelev ships that were just filled with rocks and sunk in the Roskilde fjord.

What I'm saying is that you have options.

It took roughly ten hours, and the distance was 94 meters - the Gokstad ship also made it safely into the new Museum of the Viking Age.
