#Great Big Library of Everything
Old dvds are big again. I volunteer for a library supporting non-profit. Used Media (aka CDs, audio books, DVDs, some blu-rays) are hot again. 20 something’s figured out that streaming everything means you own none of it, at great expense. Better to buy a movie you own than renting one at 3X.

The burning of the library of Alexandria: overblown, highly exaggerated, it wasnt one big event it was several small ones, pop history, orientalist also probably

The shutting of (redacted): the End of everything, the fall of one of the great bastions of the open access movement, a true biblioclasm

The great Sandra M. Gilbert has died. She was a brilliant scholar, trail-blazing feminist critic, fierce poet, bon vivant, beloved mentor, teacher, & friend. She & her collaborator Susan Gubar made so much possible. What a life, what a force, what a loss. Thank you, Sandra, for everything. RIP

Harvesting Steam reviews is so stressful for any #indiedev but similarly, they can also be a great source of comfort or humour. Every now and again (more often than I deserve) I get some real belters! 😆🥰

Although some of the study sessions were grueling, I still remember with great fondness sitting at one of the desks on the fifth floor of my college's big library tower, everything quiet and smelling of old books, watching the sun go down over the hills in the west.

Yeah and that's why third party support is a great thing objectively

Switch 2 having all of Switch 1's library + even more big recent releases and being able to run everything better is just part of the strategy

I've decided to make an in-character journal for my pathfinder sessions, written by the snake-companion of my witch. His language skills and sketching skills are going to improve as he goes. Turned out to be very fun!

That sounds wonderful! I'm reading The End of Everything (Astrophysically Speaking) by Katie Mack. Any book that furthers my understanding of gravity and time, I'm into lately. Funny enough, I was never a big nonfiction reader (except memoirs) but I found great picks at my local library!!

Thank you for the artshare, Gracu! I love the idea!

Sharing some golds! 💛👑

The hardest part about being a lalapamps type is that all the cutest clothes that go best with big fat diapers are made with bodies that conflict with everything else I use. using the Koro face is great for still being a kiddish type with huge pamps and a far more massive library of cute clothes!
Forgot to post this, but yeah! Mami-chan and Pastel, together! Goshies they look so cute! I forgot to scale up Mami-chan's boobs, but thats fine~

The #bookshelves are put together at last! Forgive the crappy lighting, I'm working on it. I'm incredibly proud of my collection. It took years and way too much money to make happen, but I finally have my personal library! Big thanks to IKEA for the MVP that is Billy bookshelves. Had to share!

So am I, just hated the great crush of people - and the big digital experience they added had been knocked out for technical reasons - I loved the library itself despite everything though!

Played some great games of edh tonight! These cards threw everything into chaos and made big splashy plays. Lots of fun, want to find more effects like this to put in my decks 💜💜💜

2/2 The cash goes to support everything the library does. Kids reading, literacy outreach, audiobooks, periodicals. I consider my contributions a great big middle finger to those that hate the free distribution of knowledge and (good) information.

Also Great Big Sea!

I thought I had that but it might be on my alt itunes library that I haven’t merged yet because every time I tried to sync itunes it would ruin everything and delete all the contents of playlists. Which is why Spotify being not good enough to switch was a problem.

Me as well. I read a great book he wrote called Catching the Big Fish (I think that's it?) It covered everything from his movies to transcendentalism.

Film is such an awesome medium. I love learning about it. 🥰

I'm actually going to a screening of Blue Velvet at the library this week.

When I think of my #comicsdna, aka the comics and books that are responsible for me being, well...me. Here are the earliest four I can think of. The comics that got me into reading and shaped me as a comicer at my very core. Slapstick, action, wordplay and coolness codified.

To nobody’s surprise I put the most hours into Penny’s Big Breakaway this year out of everything in my Steam library by a long shot. Totally 100% unbiased take, it’s a great game and you should play it if you’re in in the market for a really weird and wonderful 3D platformer
