The Sounders had sold 3 players for $1M+ before last winter (maybe almost 4 if you count the sell-ons from Wingo’s move). In the last year (plus a few days) they’ve moved 4 HGPs for deals that could end up being worth $1M+ with sell-ons.

There are good reasons to use the spots for home growns but the main efficiency gain of a U22 spot is getting to move all the acquisition cost off the book. Don’t mind if they use even two on HGPs but annoyed if they don’t use at least one to shoot for the moon

How can a study be cool and depressing at the same time? This one definitely is. A new “transcriptomic clock” that measures biological age by analyzing gene activity. The science is cool, but it's sort of a "time-to-death timer". 🧪
