Duck fared well, but further down the HWY12 past the Basnight Bridge on Hattaras Island is closed- pretty bad overwash around Rodsnthe. The OBX are lovely in the fall, unless a storm comes through. But you will be good to go in Duck🦆

I lived in Toledo 20 years. City limits 500pop; greater Toledo no idea maybe double/triple... [Back in home state CA now.] So SW WA, within triangle of I5, Hwy12 and Cowlitz River. Didn't get to Central much - but I feel you.

ROAD CLOSURE: #Hwy12 is closed in both directions between Thorah Concession Road 9 and Thorah Concession Road 8 between #Brechin and #Beaverton due to a collision. Injuries are unknown at this time. #TorontoOPP is advising motorists to plan alternate routes.

There's a certain part of hwy12 I often have to drive that in the afternoon is fine, but in the early morning is populated by people like me going about 15 to 20 over the speed limit and the people who pass me going 40 to 50 over the speed limit.
