Last Thursday was my first hackathon in two years. Every team was excited about the results of the other teams. The only limit was one's imagination; within ten hours, you can build entire businesses. crazy times

Join us on December 7th for a virtual hackathon on conducting a living systematic review!

We'll explore the literature on AI-assisted research evaluation/peer review as a grounding case.
How accurately and efficiently can AI models and human-AI teams evaluate study reports relative to human experts in benchmarking experiments?
Jay Patel, lead of the next SIPS pop-up event, is investigating this question and welcomes those who want to contribute to a systematic review.

Happy Halloween 🎃

At the end of this week at @vlt.io we ran a hackathon and I vibe coded a little mobile game around delivering packages in a cute pixel-art city.

@rman.dev and I did a little @npmx.dev Hackathon this weekend and together we merged 26 PRs in two days (12 from unique community contributors). 🤯

In total, we closed 19 issues and changed 132 labels on 58 items. And there are 6 more PRs that are almost ready to go. Looking forward to 0.23.0 🚀

In reading the article, I find it disturbing that "Dartmouth is hosting a conference called “What Must Remain Human?” that will feature a student hackathon sponsored by Anthropic..." Seems like what they object to is the lack of marketing hype for their sponsor, not the AI use.

Binning or Feature Selection: Which One Won Us an Insurance Hackathon?
For a year, we believed that supervised binning carried our winning entry to an insurance competition. After four seeds per arm and one shared feature set, the credit belongs elsewhere.

On Oct 31st our team will host a hackathon in Barcelona with Thaura AI and Mozilla Tech Festival.

Over the past few years, many alternative tech tools have emerged. During this hackathon we will work on ideas to make migrating to these tools easier.
