Good morning!
My 'new' system is alive, but due to previous setup of harddisks in older proxmox setup, I couldn't just reconfigure to the new one.
But I found a way to access my data on these drives, going to transfer to other harddisks. Then wipe them to be used again.
But he, it's Sunday. 😁

What should be a relaxing day for me, is currently in Fix-it Felix mode.
Let me explain: I have a #ProxMox server and upgrading should be easy.... Unfortunately I ended up with a faulty setup (version 8+9) and can't fix it. 😭
So I made a new system (newer CPU+Mobo) and am currently installing it.

Good morning!

In other news, Linux is 35 years old today. What started as a hobby of 10,000 lines of code and not expected to expand beyond AT-harddisks is now one of the most universal and compatible operating systems in the computing world.

I added some optimizations (APPVIEWLITE_ADDITIONAL_DATA_DIRECTORIES and key index cache) that should make it feasible to move old rarely used slices of the database to slower but cheaper mechanical harddisks

Je hebt natuurlijk gelijk. Maar elk nl gezin heeft harddisks vol met familie filmpjes, als ze al niet in de cloud staan, en als backup de oorspronkelijke vhs hi8 tapes of gebrande dvd s als backup op zolder liggen. "Voor de zekerheid". Deze stupiditeit is gewoon tenen krommend.

Het liep me over de schoenen. De opnames lieten te wensen over (geen wonder), videomateriaal raakte zoek, harddisks werden verwisseld en per ongeluk overschreven. Drama. Project mislukt. Ontzettend zonde. 4/5

DS923+ Was een bewuste keuze als NAS. Storage op harddisks buiten mijn server om. Daarnaast NAS to NAS backup voor offsite backup van belangrijke data.
T versie genomen ivm maximale TDP vanwege de voeding (PicoPSU) :-)
