#Hingepoints
Skin, muscle and fat have some leeway in how they move after all, even within their hingepoints

Let me add our paper to this review of mechanical drivers of NT folding.

We showed that mammalian spinal #neuraltube folding is primarily driven by #mesoderm expansion and #zippering. #Hingepoints emerge as a result of these extrinsic forces.

wanna say i went on a like, multi-tweet tirade about why it's the only good way to handle it (historical hingepoints etc) and that they kinda set it up to happen that way. think the only thing is where it happens but i feel like it works best if it is just 9/11 WTC all that

This truly is the dumbest timeline.

Possible hingepoints when everything went wrong:
• "Napoleon III" being elected president of France, 1848.
• Mikhail Bakunin being a no show at the Hague Congress of 1872.
• The German Revolution collapsing in on itself, resulting in a fragile Weimar Republic.
