Let's be extremely clear, though - the white supremacy that has been the driving force for the UK government SINCE INCEPTION*, & legislated by successive governments via the #HostileEnvironment since the 1940's, is DETERMINED that the most vulnerable, unfairly hated group are rich white cis men.
Not for the first time, I’d ask: what does it mean, if the press keep running campaigns claiming that country’s most horrific racists and bigots are the Green Party, the Labour left, Amnesty International, Stonewall, the police (I know) and Gary Lineker? Look around you. Does that feel right?

Hate to go on about the "interconnectedness of all things" like Dirk Gently but the accommodation crisis is tied to England's horrid unwillingness to build new housing & the mad scramble for domestic students to fill budget gaps produced by a decade+ of the #HostileEnvironment & #ToryAusterity.
Then there's the accommodation crisis of the students at Exeter's Penryn campus whose courses were suddenly closed earlier this month. Not to mention the large number of staff at risk of redundancy and the impact on HEIs with too few students to break even. 1/2

When we were returning home to Scotland after living overseas for 10 years, we HAD to tick the box saying we were immigrants - even though we are Scottish.
